That’s right. This time it’s for Australia, with a population of 26 million, not counting the kangaroos. Imagine a country so vast that EV range anxiety has got to be even more of an issue there than in America. In any case, it seems we are getting through as we have over 400 investors who invested on our Netcapital campaign. So I thought I would share some of those comments and address them weekly via this short video.

Politically CHARGED…

Whichever side you pick in the political debate, one thing is SURE… EVs are here to stay. Because not transitioning to a zero-emission vehicle such as an electric vehicle, is not an option, as we need clean air to reverse climate change. If you live in an apartment building and you want to get an EV, the only option you have for fast charging at home might just be our PowerPac.

And if you’re wondering just how big is the Power Hero investment opportunity, do the math. Our business model is based on generating a gross profit of $4,000 per PowerPac. Our target market is the 100M Americans living in apartment buildings that want and need personal HOME CHARGING for their EVs. Our universe is the 288.5M gasoline powered vehicles in operation today that need to transition to zero-emission vehicles. If they get an EV they need to charge. That’s Power Hero. Notice that our patents intertwine mobility, networking, community-sharing, and security. Our first product release Aircue, is scheduled for September 2024. We’re not in the market to be acquired, just yet, but I think it’s reasonable to say that every patent we add to our IP portfolio makes us more valuable.

September isn’t far off. We’ve applied to Google and Apple to start the process of getting our Aircue app listed on their respective online stores.

OPENING THE KIMONO ON AIRCUE.

Aircue is a community-driven software app like Waze was for GPS navigation except that Aircue is for locating power sources, initially electricity. Aircue’s first target is the Gen-Z (age 12-27 yrs) college crowd which is the second most active social media user group. The most active social media users are the Millenials (age 28-43 yrs) which is also believed to be the EV buying age group. So the plan is for Gen-Z Aircue users to transition into EV owners and expand the use of Aircue to access EV chargers. Aircue basically catalogues the whereabouts of wall sockets for the mounting of ePort, followed by Cameo, and PowerPac. Aircue should enable us to get user traction, a precursor for raising large funding for commercialization of our hardware charging solutions, managed through Aircue.

Yesterday, we kicked off our PowerPac project with eInfochips, Inc. (EIC), a wholly-owned engineering subsidiary of ARROW ELECTRONICS, the $37B global contract manufacturing company. We believe that this engagement will enhance our ability to deliver on our PowerPac order backlog in 2024.

That pretty much sums up the findings of a J.D. Power report as mentioned in a Car and Driver article published online on September 26, 2023. According to the J.D. Power report “Through the end of Q1 2023, 20.8 percent of EV drivers using public charging stations experienced charging failures or equipment malfunctions that left them unable to charge their vehicles.” That’s why over 80% of charging occurs AT HOME!

That’s why Power Hero has been focused on enabling apartment residents to charge their EVs at home, in the building where they live, on their own outlet. That’s our PowerPac product scheduled for market introduction in 2024. Our investors get it.

GOLD RUSH

That’s how EVAdoption describes the state of the EV charging industry, which is “one of the single biggest new market opportunities in 100 years”. EVAdoption provides analyses and forecasts to the EV sector.

In a May 30, 2023 publication, Loren McDonald, EVAdoption’s CEO wrote that at the end of 2022, with 16 EVs to every Level 2 and DC Fast charger, “the US would need roughly 2.8M public chargers at the end of 2030 … 22 times the number of installed public chargers.”

We can’t see the EV charging industry meeting such demand if it stands at only 127,000 chargers. That may explain the frenzy in acquisitions of smaller charging companies by the listed major companies such as ABB, Shell, ChargePoint, EVGo, and Blink Charging. EVAdoption reports that there were 16 acquisitions in the industry from January 2022 to August 2023. Can’t wait to get our PowerPac into production! That’s where ARROW Electronics comes in. WHEN YOU BOUGHT THAT GASOLINE POWERED CAR…

Did you ask the dealer where you can gas up? Sounds like a stupid question, right? But if you buy an EV you should probably find out where you can charge or you might end up as the 1-in-5 California residents that switched back to a gas-powered car due to the inconvenience of charging. That’s what was reported by BusinessInsider.com in 2021. Apparently, 70% of those who switched back to gas cars also said they lacked charging at home.

In fact, the researcher of the article, who tested a wide range of makes and models of plug-in EVs over the years says “If you don’t have a Level 2 (charger) it’s almost impossible (to own an EV)” – (paraphrases by Power Hero).

Get it? Even home owners with access to 110V - 120V power need our PowerPac to get fast 240V Level 2 charging. So, the market need for our PowerPac goes beyond even our primary target of apartment residents. That’s HUGE!

FIGHTING THE COMPETITION

Competitors like ChargePoint are big but they don’t have a competitive advantage. Here’s why :

1. The big boys focus on competing in public places with high traffic to make money. We don’t need traffic. We rent out our personal PowerPacs on an economical rental or lease-to-own package.

2. The big boys require building owners to upgrade their electrical system with lengthy and expensive re-construction. Our PowerPac uses existing 110V circuits to pump out Level 2 charging with little cost to building owners.

3. PowerPac’s comprehensive patent is tough to overcome. It is not economical or logical for ChargePoint to spend money to try and bypass our strong patent position. As a publicly listed company they need to stick to their story and business model to prop up their stock price.

4. We are not burdened by legacy installations. It’s like asking KFC®️to add burgers to their menu that require grills in addition to fryers.

According to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), claims “are the heart of a patent” because they “define the scope of legal protection”. The WIPO knows as it’s the global forum for intellectual property (IP) services, policy, information and cooperation within the United Nations, with 193 member states.

EV CHARGING IN A BLACKOUT

What if there is no electricity when you need it? That’s essentially the result when electricity transmission becomes an issue. In a report by DNV, a world-renowned advisory service for the energy sector, the U.S. won’t reach its net zero emissions goal due to “the lack of transmission buildout and continually increasing demand for electricity”. So how would you charge your EV in a blackout?

Pardon me! I meant to say Repeat Investors. That’s right! 17% of our investors in our Netcapital campaign have invested several times since we launched our campaign. That is so encouraging to know that you have our back.

I also want to congratulate those of you who have invested even before our Netcapital campaign as you have seen your shares split 3 for 1. Based on our valuation this time around you have 3 times more shares and they are even valued higher per share. Did you know that Microsoft shares have split 5 times since their IPO so that one share at the IPO is now 224 shares! Looking back we now know that personal computing was just starting up back then and now such machines are more powerful than the large mainframe computers back then.

We believe EVs and EV charging are just taking off so I like to think there is a lot of upside to this story.

WE WERE NOT SPARED

9/11. Many Americans lost friends and family that day. Three of my team at Mayan Networks, which I had co-founded and led, were at the World Trade Center that day and I didn’t know what happened to them because communications had been disrupted.

Mayan had developed a next-gen optical switch for handling high volume communications but it matters not when there is no source to communicate with. In October 2000 Mayan had completed a private debt financing of $75M at a valuation of $1.8 billion, gaining unicorn status. In the Summer of 2001, before 9/11, I recall that we had grown to 300+ employees with an annual revenue run rate of $40M. 9/11 caused the death of Mayan as our bankers called our loans in the financial storms that followed the attack. Fortunately our team had left the Center before the attack but 300 families lost their livelihood that year. It still hurts.

Today we remember a tragedy that has impacted so many people in so many different ways.

IMPACT OF HURRICANES AND EARTHQUAKE ON POWER HERO

Thankfully we sustained no damages or injuries to our people and property in California this week. But we regretted not being further along in our business to help more people.

When storms, fires, and earthquakes leave thousands without power. Our technology is there to step in.

• PowerPacs, in later releases can keep your phones charged or keep your fridge running for days depending on its efficiency rating and size.
• mPower can remotely deploy to areas in need to supplement hours of necessary power and assist emergency responders

Our importance goes beyond just EV charging and our impact on the environment. We are there to step in when our environment impacts us.

THERE’S HOPE

The Ozone layer around our planet protects life on Earth from the Sun’s ultraviolet radiation which can cause skin cancer and blindness. In 1985, scientists discovered a huge hole in the ozone layer caused by chemicals called CFCs, found in aerosols, refrigerators, and air-conditioning. That discovery triggered a global response which led to the signing of the “Montreal Protocol” in 1987 to phase out CFSs, which are now banned in 197 countries worldwide!

The World Economic Forum recently announced that the ozone layer is recovering up to 3% every decade and could actually heal by 2070!

We can do the same to reverse greenhouse gas if we act together to eliminate harmful carbon emissions from gasoline-powered cars. Help us help the world transition to zero-emission electric vehicles, by making it easier to charge EVs.

Today the USPTO officially approved our patents for PowerPac and all associated claims. This is a great milestone for PowerHero and demonstrates our strong track record of innovation and ability to secure patents.

We are happy to say the SVB/Signature Bank collapses did not impact us at Power Hero. We also work very hard to maintain a lean operation.

We’ve been traveling up and down California talking to stakeholders from different cities.

Some of the best feedback we get is about how PowerPac will allow people to draw power off-peak when costs are lower. PowerPac evenly banks power throughout the day and can be remotely managed to load up off-peak. If every EV driver hits the grid at 220V and 40 amps at 5:30 PM, that puts massive pressure on the grid. PowerPac will be a big help to utilities managing power demand to a growing base of EV drivers.

Also, solutions like mPower and PowerPac can be set up as demand-response and virtual power plant solutions. Giving utilities the ability to manage and avoid capacity outages. The utilities pay for this in terms of both readiness and actual usage – providing another revenue stream and a better return on investment.
