Introduction

Video streams from drones, dash cams, and camera-based AI often face visibility issues due to fog, rain, snow, or low illumination, limiting the effectiveness of computer vision. Our disruptive technology significantly improves visual clarity even in very adverse conditions, overcoming these limitations.

Lolaark Vision Inc. develops innovative software for restoring visibility in live video streams. Our state-of-the-art technology was invented by two mathematicians, Prof. Emanuel Papadakis and Dr. Sanat Upadhyay, after extensive research at the University of Houston in TX, USA. This technology benefits vehicle operators and automated navigation systems by identifying risks on land, in the air, or underwater. We are proud to be one of the first live video processing app to receive "New Technology Qualified" recognition from the American Bureau of Shipping, a prominent authority on sea-worthiness. This confirms our ability to enhance camera vision clarity in low-visibility aquatic environments.

WHAT SETS US APART FROM OTHERS

Lolaark Vision's technology revolutionizes industries and prevents accidents by improving visibility for autopilots and human operators. Our software is not a luxury but a crucial advancement in live video stream restoration, seamlessly integrating cameras with AI-powered systems. As these systems become more prevalent, our technology provides necessary visual clarity beyond normal capabilities, enhancing accuracy and reducing hidden risks.

  • All startups have some new idea or a business appraoch to bring to the market. A few companies market successful technological or radically innovative products, services or business models. Lolaark Vision introduces a scalable, entirely novel, mathematically sophisticated, transformative solution to the long-time recognized problem of cameras going literally blind when visibility is poor or illumination is inadequate.
  • We have very few competitors - they mostly rely on addressing the same problem with statistical methods from the 90s that are inadequate for very poor visibility. Unlike our competitors, we have an active research team led by our CEO who is a mathematician with worldwide recognition and publications.
  • Lolaark Vision’s video Clarifier solution is designed in a way that can be integrated into multiple different applications that only started to emerge, such as delivery drones and car autopilots.
  • AI-vision goes blind when cameras face adverse visibility conditions they can’t overcome. Lolaark Vision’s tech works synergistically to give the clarity they need to work up to their design capabilities.
  • Two years after our previous CF campaign, we started sales of the Clarifier, the only CERTIFIED product in the market by the American Bureau of Shipping for harsh visibility conditions, designed for the new generation of underwater robots with IP cameras.

Problem

Shades, low light, glare, strong headlights, fog, heavy rain, and murky water often reduce camera visibility, thus increasing the probability of error. As our lives and operations become increasingly machine-dependent and human vision is gradually being replaced or complemented or replaced by camera vision and AI, the room for error becomes all the smaller. Here are just a few examples:

  • Autopilots for self-driving cars and autonomous land vehicles
  • AI-camera-based security and surveillance systems (such as face and object recognition systems)
  • Drones and helicopters that often need to fly in poor or suddenly changing visibility
  • Underwater robots and divers carrying out structural safety inspections in inland water bodies or river ports

Solution

The technology we developed clarifies live video streams and images across a wide range of conditions and cameras, including both visible and infrared spectrums.

It can be implemented in real-time applications on graphics cards, FPGAs, mini computers, and even gamer laptops. In trials conducted for the American Bureau of Shipping, our first product, the Clarifier, improved video clarity by an average of 110%. This exceptional performance gives us a strong advantage in

  • Underwater robot and submersible industries, ROVs/AUVs for the underwater inspections industry serving maritime, oil and gas, and civil engineering. Currently, in North America, the size of this market is valued at 482.61 million by the end of 2023 with a CAGR of 7%
and in other short and mid-term market opportunities.
  • Delivery and security drones have a CAGR of 24% (Amer. Journal Of Transportation, as of Mar 2023).
  • Self-driving car camera navigation systems and autonomous land vehicles. The global autonomous vehicle market was valued at $76.13 billion in 2020 and is projected to reach $2,161.79 billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of 40.1% from 2021 to 2030.
  • Smart AI-powered cameras and security cameras: AI Camera Market is expected to reach USD 21.58 Billion by 2025 at 23.8% CAGR.
  • It also is designed to achieve high restoration clarity for a great variety of visibility and operating conditions. In a trial performed for the American Bureau of Shipping we improved video clarity by 110% on average. This unique level of performance may provide us with a strong foothold in multiple markets.

Soon to follow Clarifier ROV for Blue Robotics, Siddus and other IP cameras commonly used in ROVs and deep sea unmanned submersibles.

Business Model

Our tech plans to directly or indirectly meet the needs of vast numbers of people. It is primarily designed for commercial use as a component of other commercial products.

The future planned primary source of income is royalties for the use of our tech. It is meant to be used either as a standard feature or an add-on preprocessing plugin, and it enhances the performance and accuracy of camera systems in challenging visibility conditions beyond operational limits. Direct sales of our Clarifier are anticipated to be limited to underwater robots, and this is our current revenue line. The planned royalty lines may be developed once we have adopted the technology of the Clarifier for nano GPUs and FPGAs to allow deployment for drones and AI-powered cameras. We want all processing to be done on the camera side.

Within this framework, our main revenue stream is planned to come from royalties collected from these other companies operating in the aforementioned verticals.

It has been a while since our last communication but several developments have occurred since then. We had one paid sale to a big, multinational diving company for a job they will do in Colombia. So most of our experimental equipment is sold. We are now training their personnel on the use of the Clarifier since the job they want to use the Clarifier for has started yet. This experimental equipment was used for our American Bureau of Shipping certification. So far we have served three different customers. The first Poseidon Robotics Lanai Pro ROV with the Clarifier was shipped to Nigeria last month. It took some time to put everything together the equipment and our partner company Poseidon had to redesign its operation control unit several times. Now, we have arrived at the final design and we optimized the connection with a very nice camera these robots carry. One of the challenges we face is to help customers integrate their robotic cameras with the Clarifier. To be continued

The Clarifier, our first main product, has been...

The Clarifier, our first main product, has been sold in Nigeria and Colombia for commercial diving companies. One market segment we focus on is the small underwater robot operators. These mostly work solo and perform inspections or collect research data. Among them, one subsegment is law enforcement. Small robots have many advantages, including cost, reduced labor cost, and efficiency since they use sonal for navigation in murky waters and a camera to inspect the regions of interest. Here we have an example of the small robot Clarrifier where we used a small tank to perform the test. We used a camera sending video using an internet protocol, like YouTube. We show side by side the enhanced and the original footage, with the latter shown on the left panel. Our campaign is closing soon. We may extend for a few days but not for long. Last week we made our first big sale. This was...

Last week we made our first big sale. This was a combined sale of hardware and software. We sold an HD-SDI camera for underwater usage along with a long coaxial cable made for the same conditions. This set was originally used for the experiments before the commercial release of the Clarifier. We also sold a Clarifier license. The software and the equipment will be used in an inspection of a major hydroelectric power plant in South America. The job is delicate, the buyer and contractor is very experienced and highly visible in the respective industry. Now we are talking to their sister company in Nigeria where coastal waters are shallow and murky but where a lot of valuable and environmentally sensitive offshore facilities have been based. We are thrilled because last month was our first month with income and monthly profit. As we said before we are closing this campaign on the 29th. Now it is time for sales. Hurry up because this camping will soon be over.

We are excited for our first presentation of our product the Clarifier in the Annual Texas section of the International Society of the Nautical and Marine Engineers. This is one the main events for offshore technologies in Texas and in the United States. About two years ago we presented the algorithmic prototype of our technology in the Annual Panamerican meeting of this society. Today we come with a product. This is a big step we all achieved together. As we mentioned before, we will terminate this campaign by the March 29th. We do this because we are talking to angel investors about our plans and how we will utilize any future investments. We plan to mainly focus on sales in 2024 and support sales from this campaign’s investments. We want to keep you more informed about our plans. So in two weeks, we will hold a webinar for you and our StartEngine investors and the followers of both our campaigns.

Greetings to all of our followers and investors. As the CEO I want to share with you some of my thoughts and invite you to call me and discuss with me why you should not miss the opportunity to invest more in Lolaark Vision. We will not extend this campaign beyond March 29th. So if you are only watching this campaign now is the time to decide what to do. We close the campaign because we want to utilize our capital to boost sales. We have several companies that offer inspection, repair, and maintenance services of marine assets and civil infrastructure, e.g. dams, water management systems, ports, interested in the Clarifier. We now need to turn our attention to them. We will need extra capital after this campaign ends but for this we are talking to venture capital. On the sales front, we have already several inquiries from Europe, China, the US, and S. America. We now need your boost to cross the finish line successfully. The pic is from a recent demo of the Clarifier in Galveston.

A great day today for Lolaark Vision. One of the major diving companies worldwide that specializes in hydroelectric dams, bridges, and ports maintenance, robotic underwater marine asset surveys, and deep diving is renting the Clarifier from Lolaark Vision for a very specialized maintenance job in South America. This is our first contract in the software and equipment rental business. A component of our product certification by the American Bureau of Shipping forced us to buy/rent certain pieces of equipment that now find new use as an essential hardware platform of the Clarifier. We refer to them as the Clarifier package. This package is available for sale and for rental. This Monday was the inaugural of the Clarifier rentals that bring additional revenue to us and visibility.

Happy New Year to all of our investors and followers. I want to share with you some of our thoughts and news. Underwater Intervention 2023 that ended on Dec. 2nd proved to be a great promotion for us. Although, we are a still a new kid in the block, we attracted a lot of attention because we have integrated the Clarifier with underwater robots used primarily for inspections. This type of robots represent a rapidly growing market. The capital we raise here will be mainly invested in boosting sales with a goal of reaching 25K in monthly sales by November 2024 and break even before November 2024. These are some of our plans. To approach the market effectively and promote our product we will use paid promotions and also advertise rentals with the full equipment provided. Our next goal is to modify the Clarifier for 4K resolutions, downsize the hardware to be able to run it onboard a medium size drone. We have already started working on upscaling the Clarifier from 1080p the 4K resolution.

Underwater intervention is a specialized show...

Underwater intervention is a specialized show for equipment and robots for inspections, repairs, and environment monitoring. All the tools that exist and support these industries are on display in this exhibition. We shared a booth with Poseidon Robotics who showed a Laini Pro robot purchased by a construction firm based in Nigeria and will be used for the inspection of oil rigs. This is the first of the Poseidon robots that carries the Clarifier. All of them will come Clarifier-ready from now on so that customers can install the Clarifier as needed. In the photo you can easily recognize the Lanai Pro from its orange top, Next to it is the command console with the Clarifier installed. Peter Schubert and I appear in the photo.

Overall this show has been a great success for brand awareness and generated an interest for more sales. Customers are motivated to purchase licenses because they see the Clarifier installed in the Lanai and learn that it has third-party approval.

We spent this week in New Orleans at the International Workboat Show. Workboats are vessels used in service operations in ports, Lolaark Vision was featured on the front page of the Workboat Industry News magazine. The Workboat Show had a special section devoted to underwater technologies, robots, inspection cameras, lights, connectors, cables, sonars, and even small tourist submarines for relatively small depths. We had many interesting discussions with potential clients. One of the big boosts of our marketing campaign in this show was the integration of our first product, the Clarifier, with the underwater remotely piloted robots of Poseidon Robotics. It was the first time to demonstrate this level of integration and it made a very positive impression to the numerous Workboat Show visitors. Overall, we left New Orleans with optimistic 2024 sales prospects. INVEST NOW.

We recently received an investment from a lady who was kind to share her motivation with us. We want to share it with you. “I drive to work at night I can relate the problem, this invention is promising hopefully before I retire I can use this now, it would be a great peace of mind when driving at night. Can you help in some way? I’m investing for the good of all people esp seniors with eye problems by then, let us support.” She really hit the nail on the head. I also drive at night and like all other older people led-powered headlights blind us. WE ARE HERE RAISING CAPITAL BECAUSE THIS IS ONE PROBLEM WE WANT TO SOLVE. We plan to install our tech on 4K dash-cams with a cell phone-like display on the back where the clarified picture, head-light free will be shown. This is a device that can help at night time, or during rain, storms, fog, or even smoke.

WE CANNOT DELIVER THIS PRODUCT WITHOUT YOUR HELP. BUT WITH ENOUGH INVESTMENT WE CAN BRING IT TO THE MARKET IN LESS THAN TWO YEARS

The Clarifier ROV by Lolaark Vision cleans up...

The Clarifier ROV by Lolaark Vision cleans up the view of your ROV’s live video stream in murky water. We just installed the first copy in a mini HP desktop, the G9 Elite mini with an NVDIA RTX 3050 GPU. The installation is for one Lanai by Poseidon Robotics LLC. The Clarifier ROV works with up to 1080p video and up to 30 frames per second depending on the GPU strength and PC RAM. We can customize it for all IP cameras with UDP and other protocol connections. We customize two cameras at this point but more will come: The Mission Robotics camera the Lanais carry and the classical Blue Robotcs camera. The Clarifier ROV shows one display only, the clarified and enhanced video. The product has been certified by ABS for low-visibility environments. The picture below is from OTC 2023. A Lanai was splashing the water in the display tank. We filmed it outside the tank with the Blue Robotics cameras. Here you see the two panels of the conventional Clarifier, original left, right enhanced.

When one drives in the night animal encounters...

When one drives in the night animal encounters are scary. None of us wants to have an accident with an animal victim. Watch in the video how the cat crossing becomes noticable on the enhanced panel. If you feel the video is long scroll froward to minute 1:00 and watch for 1 min. 30 sec.

    Artificial intelligence really needs no...

Artificial intelligence really needs no introduction. How much can you trust it for driving your car? As a researcher in the field of Image analysis with our in combination with AI methods, I would say it is still too early. AI and self-driving capabilities can help you but cannot replace you. enriching the training of AI systems is not always the answer. But self-driving capabilities will soon be truly realized. I use ‘soon with two grains of salt. Lolaark Vision envisions playing a significant role in this emerging technology. I found this video on YouTube. I like it and I decided to offer a more engineering version of it. I hope that you will like it.

Lolaark Vision in the Offshore Technology...

Lolaark Vision in the Offshore Technology Conference 2023 Exhibition. The exhibition opened on May 1st, a day before the official opening of our campaign on this platform. We shared a booth with our partner company Poseidon Robotics LLC which is a manufacturer of underwater robots. We had the opportunity to talk to a good number of visitors to our booth who were interested in underwater robots. So we had the opportunity to introduce to them The Clarifier 1.0, a product they said are looking for. Today we want to introduce you to those underwater robots. These robots are remotely operated and connected to the surface via an optical fiber tether. they can go deep and have a good operational distance from the surface operator control point. Please watch the short video. We are interested in deploying our tech on these robots because they have the strength and capabilities of some of the more expensive robots in the market but they are a lot more affordable.
